Ludlow still wants to marry her, but Carla has a fantasy idea of the man she’ll marry, so she says no. Ludlow rather falls for Carla, they have a fling, then Carla gets pregnant, and has to tell Ludlow not only about that, but about her other five kids. Then the episode Whodunit? Frasier and Diane bring Frasier’s mentor, Dr Bennett Ludlow (James Karen), to the bar, and Frasier is gratingly fawning to him. It starts with A Ditch in Time which sees Carol Kane play Amanda, whom Sam hits on when she visits the bar.īut Amanda is a friend of Diane’s, and she does her best to persuade Sam not to go out with her because they met in Goldenbrook, and Amanda is ‘obsessive with men’, which is demonstrated when, the day after their date, she brings her parents to meet Sam. This set of episodes is one that I definitely watched quite a few times, as they’re all so familiar. Then we have some more episodes from season 3 of Cheers.
